Xavier Rudd – The Letter

Xavier Rudd’s song “The Letter” is not a cover. I was on crack when I said he covered Joe Cocker. And Joe Cocker wasn’t the writer of “The Letter” either. Wayne Carson Thompson wrote “The Letter” and it was The Box Tops that first made the song popular not Joe Cocker. So I should have played Joe Cocker’s version of “The Letter” on my covers podcast. That would have made the most sense.

But out of all mistakes comes something good right? I discovered Xavier Rudd by searching for “The Letter”. Xavier is from the land down under and has released several CD’s and played Bonnaroo twice! Who knew! Not me obviously. Stay tuned for more goodies from Xavier on the next podcast.
