I just launched a new BUTR app and it’s FREE! You can now listen to a playlist featuring songs from the BUTR podcasts. Listen to the app at the gym, in your car, at work, or when your taking a stroll through the park. The playlist will continue to update with new music each week so keep the app on your front burner! The songs I feature in my app will also be available via my podcast so take your pick on how you want to listen to the music.
Download the FREE app on iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad and Android phones. The app will be available on BlackBerry phones in the near future.

I would like to purchase some or your music; I paid for it, down loaded it on my computer, but I cant put it on my I Pod, phone, disc, or even play it. How can I get some of your music to play for me?
Hey Ross! All the songs can play everywhere and on any devide. They are DRM-free and mp3s. I will email to make sure it works for you.
Well, I was listening to the podcast while I installed the app (on my new Android phone) and started it up… and then heard you talking over the music I was already hearing. Ack! Can it be fixed so it *doesn't* start playing as soon as it starts up?
(This is after just noticing that you actually have done podcasts since #36, and I just needed to change the feed URL in my podcast program. Argh.)
Sorry it's a music app so stop playing other stuff when launching it. But usually you can hit the pause button (on every screen) before the music loads so it shouldn't be a big problem.
OK, but it wasn't at all obvious that a pause button even exists. Since you mentioned it I looked for it and found it, but it's hidden at startup.
It would be MUCH nicer to start up paused, and start with that pause/play bar open so that the controls can be seen. I'm less likely to open the thing knowing that it'll start playing something immediately. I have many other music apps, and I think the only other one that starts playing immediately on startup is the one that plays my phone's FM tuner.
This app is cheap so it's not perfect Rob but most people seems to like it. You can absolutely hit the pause button immediately and navigate the entire app in silence although that really isn't the point. I make it easy to purchase all the tunes I feature in the app via iTunes or Android. The BUTR Logo I would make smaller or take it out on the music page altogether but this is a templated app which allows me to save money (lord knows I'm not making any) and offer to you for FREE.
…. And I can't even switch tabs while paused without it automatically going back to Play?? Sorry, but that's just obnoxious. I'd like to be able to browse the content, possibly select something different to hear, or just read silently (or, heaven forbid, while listening to something else), without having the app start playing every time I make a move.
While I'm at it, the scrolling list of available tracks to listen to (in the Music tab) is uncomfortably constrained by an unnecessarily-large BUTR logo taking half the screen. That logo area could be cut almost in half without even making the logo any smaller, while giving more room to scroll the tracklist. (My phone actually has one of the largest screens currently available, if that makes a difference.)
I hate to be a complainer, but while I like your choices in music, I'm not impressed with the design choices in this mobile app. I guess I'd be better off sticking with the podcast feed.
